What is soft n’ fat’s affiliate program?
Our affiliate program is a small, curated group of people who share Soft n' Fat with their communities and earn commission on every sale through their link.
You get a personal discount code, a welcome package from the farm, and first access to seasonal and limited batches before they go live.
Everything you'd be sharing is made by hand on our farm in Southern Oregon: grassfed tallow balms, emu oil skincare, bee venom, magnesium butter, and hydrosols distilled from plants we grow.
It's not a wide net. We keep it small so every affiliate is someone we actually know, and who actually uses what they share.
Who gets accepted?
Preference goes to people who already use our products. If it's already on your bathroom counter, you're halfway there.
Beyond that, we look for people who live the way our customers do. They read labels, they care where things come from, and their recommendations mean something to the people around them.
It's not about follower count. Some of our best affiliates are estheticians, herbalists, moms, and farmers with small, close audiences who trust them completely.
We look at whether what you share lines up with what we make: real ingredients, slow living, honesty over hype. If you're promoting a new brand every week, it's probably not a fit.
We're a small farm making everything by hand, so we can only take on so many affiliates at a time. If we can't bring you on right away, it doesn't mean no. Your application stays in our queue, and we'll reach out as space opens up.

Do I need a big following?
No. Some of our smallest affiliates have the most sales!
What matters is trust. If the people who follow you ask what you use, what you feed your kids, and where you get your groceries, they'll want to know what's on your skin too.
Estheticians, herbalists, moms, farmers, practitioners. Someone with 800 followers who actually uses the product and is passionate about it will outsell someone with 80,000 who doesn't/isnt!
Love it, use it, talk about it like you would anything else in your life. Share from your heart.
How and when do I get paid?
Every sale through your link or code earns commission, tracked automatically in your Shopify Collabs account.
Commissions go through a 30-day holding period first, to cover returns. After that, they move into your next payout.
Payouts go out automatically twice a month, straight to your PayPal or bank account, once your balance reaches $25. Anything under $25 rolls over to the next payout.
You can see every sale, pending commission, and past payout from your Collabs dashboard anytime.
What products can I share?
All of them. Everything on the site counts toward your commission: the balms, serums, butters, hydrosols, and seasonal releases.
But the affiliates who do best don't try to share everything. They share what's actually on their bathroom counter.
The balm you reach for every night. The one you put on your kids. The one you'd buy again even if you weren't getting paid for it.
Talk about what you use the way you'd talk about anything else in your life!
Do I have to post a certain amount?
No quotas, no scripts, no content calendar. Share when it feels natural: stories, a post, a conversation with a client, a text to a friend. It all counts.
That said, we'll reach out now and then about launches, restocks, and seasonal sales. These are casual, opt-in agreements. If you want in, you'll share during a set window, and in exchange you'll receive the corresponding offer or product in exchange.
If it's not a fit that time, just say so. No pressure, and it won't count against you.
Do I get free product?
Yes. Every new affiliate gets a welcome package from the farm, so you can find your favorites before you share anything.
After that, product comes through the launches, restocks, and seasonal pushes we'll reach out about. When you opt in to share during one of those windows, the new release or restock lands on your doorstep first, so you can talk about it from real experience.
It's casual and always opt-in. If the timing's wrong, sit that one out. You'll still be part of the circle for the next one.
